The Missa brevis in E is a modern Mass setting that combines musical traditions of the renaissance and early baroque era with contemporary harmonic colours.

Seeing that vocal music is also one of my earliest musical influences, this work truly has been a return to traditional virtues for me. Jazz harmony is another audible influence, however the music never sounds distinctly "jazzy".

A "northern" sound is also recognisable, that was inspired by Scandinavian choral music as well as my home in northern Germany.​
